CPX-351 vs standard chemo for certain adult AML types

Who can take part

  • You have newly diagnosed AML (not AML that came back).
  • Your AML does not have certain gene or chromosome changes (including t(15;17), t(8;21), inv(16), or t(16;16)).
  • Your AML does not have these gene mutations: NPM1 and FLT3.
  • You must be age 50 or older, and be well enough for treatment (ECOG 0–2).
  • You should not have had prior chemo or radiation for another cancer (small exceptions for very limited use).
  • You must not have active serious infections, hepatitis B/C, HIV, or known severe allergy to the study medicines.
