Who can take part

  • You are age 18 to 70, and you have newly diagnosed AML
  • Your AML cells must have CD33, as shown by a lab test (flow cytometry or biopsy testing)
  • You can likely tolerate intensive chemotherapy (your health status score is 2 or less)
  • You must have good heart, liver, and other organ function for study treatment
  • If you are able to have a pregnancy, you must use very effective birth control and have a negative pregnancy test right before treatment
  • You must not have certain exclusions like active hepatitis infection, known FLT3 gene mutations, or past AML treatment other than limited exceptions
