New targeted drugs for advanced lung cancer with EGFR L858R

This study tests whether taking dacomitinib plus anlotinib as a first treatment can shrink or control advanced lung cancer that has the EGFR L858R mutation. It may help people who have not had any standard drug treatment yet, especially if their brain metastases are stable.

Who can take part

  • Be 18 to 75 years old and willing to sign informed consent
  • Have advanced non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery (stage IIIB/IV), confirmed by tissue testing
  • Your cancer should have the EGFR mutation: Phase I allows exon 21 L858R or exon 19 deletion, while Phase IIb requires exon 21 L858R only
  • Have at least one tumor spot that can be measured on scans, and have stable or controlled brain metastases
  • Have not had any prior drug treatment for advanced lung cancer, and be able to take oral medicines
  • Have generally healthy blood, liver, kidney, and heart function, and be well enough to do daily activities (ECOG 0–1)
