Who can take part

  • You have obstructive sleep apnea that is moderate-to-severe (at least 15 breathing events per hour).
  • You are able and medically stable enough to do breathing/physiology measurements during sleep study visits.
  • You are not taking medicines that can significantly change breathing (like opioids or some anti-seizure/respiratory drugs).
  • You are not taking antidepressants called SNRIs or SSRIs.
  • You do not have other sleep breathing problems (like central sleep apnea) or other sleep disorders like narcolepsy or major restless-leg movement issues.
  • You have no known allergy to the study drugs, no prior major reaction like hives or swelling.
