Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have severe-to-profound hearing loss in the implanted ear(s) after you started speaking
  • Have a CT scan after your cochlear implant surgery available for the study
  • Have a MED-EL cochlear implant with a Flex28 or FlexSoft electrode, and plan to start a SONNET 2 or RONDO3 processor on the newly implanted side (not yet activated)
  • Spanish-speaking and willing to complete the study steps after signing consent paperwork
