Who can take part
- You are between 22 and 80 years old.
- You can do all study procedures and sign a written consent form.
- You are approved for cochlear implant surgery after the usual pre-op ear and health checks.
- Your pre-op CT scan shows normal temporal bone and inside-ear (intra-cochlear) anatomy.
- Your implant surgery will use one of these options: Cochlear CI522 slim straight electrode or MED-EL Synchrony with Flex 24 or Flex 28 electrode.
- You are not pregnant (for people who can become pregnant).
