Who can take part
- Be between 18 and 65 years old
- Have a PFO confirmed by an ultrasound of the heart, with enough “shunt” activity on contrast imaging
- Have either an unexplained stroke/TIA or long-lasting/intractable migraine
- Agree to sign consent and complete follow-up visits and tests
- Do not have a clearly different cause of stroke (not related to the PFO)
