Herceptin after breast surgery with less chemotherapy

HER2-positive Breast Cancer

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This trial looks at whether Herceptin (trastuzumab) can be used as after-treatment with less chemotherapy for certain early breast cancers. It may help reduce how much chemotherapy you need, while still lowering the chance the cancer comes back.

NCT01785420Recruiting· Phase 3
Trastuzumab before breast surgery for HER2-positive cancer

This trial tests whether giving trastuzumab before surgery can improve outcomes for people with HER2-positive early breast cancer. Trastuzumab is a targeted medicine that helps treat HER2-driven cancer before the tumor is removed.

Comparing two chemo regimens with Herceptin for early breast cancer

This trial tests if taking oral chemotherapy pills with trastuzumab (Herceptin) works as well as IV chemo (paclitaxel) with Herceptin after surgery for HER2-positive, lymph node-negative early breast cancer. It aims to find a more convenient treatment option.

New Drug Treatment Before Surgery for HER2-Positive Breast Cancer

This trial tests a new drug called trastuzumab rezetecan given before surgery for early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer. It's designed for patients whose cancer doesn't respond well to standard HER2-targeted treatments.

NCT04158856Not yet recruiting· Phase 2
Adjuvant anti-HER2 therapy after early HER2-positive breast cancer surgery

This Phase 2 trial studies a second anti-HER2 treatment (given after surgery) to help lower the risk of breast cancer coming back in people with very small, node-negative, HER2-positive tumors. It will also closely monitor heart function and other side effects because these medicines can affect the body.

HER2 breast cancer vaccine plus chemo and targeted antibodies

This Phase 2 study tests a personalized immune-therapy vaccine made from your immune cells, given with weekly paclitaxel and HER2-targeted antibodies (trastuzumab and pertuzumab). It aims to improve treatment outcomes for people with HER2-positive breast cancer before standard local treatment (like surgery and radiation).
