Gentler pre-surgery treatment for HER2-positive early breast cancer

HER2-positive Breast Cancer

Part of Cancer clinical trials.

This study tests a less intense treatment plan before surgery for people with HER2-positive breast cancer that hasn't spread to lymph nodes. The goal is to see if a milder approach works just as well with fewer side effects.

New Drug Treatment Before Surgery for HER2-Positive Breast Cancer

This trial tests a new drug called trastuzumab rezetecan given before surgery for early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer. It's designed for patients whose cancer doesn't respond well to standard HER2-targeted treatments.

NCT04281641Recruiting
Testing marker-guided treatment before surgery for HER2-positive breast cancer

This trial studies how well a HER2-focused treatment plan works before surgery (“neoadjuvant” therapy) for operable HER2-positive breast cancer. It also uses tumor tissue tests to find markers that may predict who benefits most.

T-DXd vs THP for medium-risk HER2-positive early breast cancer

This trial compares two treatments for women with a specific type of early breast cancer (HER2-positive, medium risk) that hasn't spread. One group gets a newer targeted drug (T-DXd), the other gets standard chemo plus targeted therapy (THP). The goal is to see which works better with fewer side effects.

Personalized pre-surgery treatment for HER2-positive breast cancer

This trial tests a personalized treatment plan for HER2-positive breast cancer before surgery. The treatment is adjusted based on how your cancer responds, aiming to give you the best possible outcome.

NCT05388500Not yet recruiting· Phase 3
Herceptin after breast surgery with less chemotherapy

This trial looks at whether Herceptin (trastuzumab) can be used as after-treatment with less chemotherapy for certain early breast cancers. It may help reduce how much chemotherapy you need, while still lowering the chance the cancer comes back.

NCT05891561Recruiting· Phase 2
Short antibody treatment after surgery for early HER2+ breast cancer

This Phase 2 study tests a shorter schedule of trastuzumab and pertuzumab combined with chemotherapy (taxanes) to reduce breast cancer coming back after surgery. It mainly helps people with early-stage, HER2-positive breast cancer that has not spread, by testing whether a shorter plan still works well and is tolerable.
