Who can take part
- Age 18 or older; if you can become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and use effective birth control during treatment
- Diagnosed with stage II or III invasive breast cancer (early stage, not spread to distant organs) that is HER2-positive
- Have not received any chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, or breast cancer surgery before
- In good overall health (able to carry out most daily activities) with normal blood counts and organ function
- No serious heart problems and a normal heart pumping ability (ejection fraction ≥55%)
- No difficulty swallowing and able to complete all required baseline tests
