Who can take part
- You have a documented aortic root aneurysm larger than 40 mm
- You agree to join a long-term study and have follow-up for 5 years
- Your overall health is expected to last at least 1 year (no other condition that limits life expectancy)
- You do not have a known genetic elastic-tissue disorder (like Marfan) or meet the clinical criteria for Marfan
- Your heart valve condition is not “severe” (high-grade mitral-aortic valve disease)
- Your blood pressure is not extremely high (not 180/110 or higher) and your kidneys are strong enough (not on dialysis and GFR not below 30)
