  • You have a heart–kidney problem where both organs are affected at the same time or in sequence
  • Your case fits one of the study’s heart–kidney types (acute heart then kidney, chronic heart then kidney, acute kidney then heart, chronic kidney then heart, or a secondary body-wide cause)
  • You are not pregnant and not breastfeeding
  • You are not planning a recent birth (if you can become pregnant)
  • You can take study medications and come back for follow-up
