Who can take part
- Your oropharyngeal cancer is one-sided only (it does not cross the middle line).
- Your tumor was proven by biopsy, and you may be HPV-positive or HPV-negative.
- Your stage is T1 to T3 and there is no distant spread to other organs (M0).
- You are planned to receive definitive radiation (RT) with treatment to both sides of the neck, starting within about 4–6 weeks after randomization.
- You must have recent scans done within the last 8 weeks (CT/MRI neck, PET-CT, and chest CT).
- You can complete questionnaires and follow-up visits, and you are eligible to take part in a radiation-guided mapping procedure.
