Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 70 years old
  • Have confirmed TB in the lungs, with positive sputum tests (or TB test like Xpert showing TB in sputum)
  • Your TB bacteria must be sensitive to a required list of TB medicines, including sitafloxacin (and others like rifampin and isoniazid)
  • You can give written consent to join the study
  • Not have TB outside the lungs (no extra-pulmonary or spread-out/disseminated TB)
