Who can take part

  • Your lung TB test (Xpert MTB/RIF) must be positive
  • You must start the trial within 7 days of beginning your current TB medicines
  • Your Xpert MTB/RIF result must not show rifampicin resistance
  • You must not be known to be resistant to isoniazid, rifampicin, or pyrazinamide
  • You must not have HIV
  • You must not have serious liver disease or uncontrolled diabetes
