- You are 18 years or older (any gender).
- You have shock and need fluid treatment because of poor circulation (for example: low urine output, mental status changes, high lactate, or needing medicines to keep blood pressure up).
- Doctors think your body may respond to extra fluids, based on bedside fluid-response tests (like PPV/IVC changes, or a passive leg raising test).
- You are calm enough for the study monitoring (restlessness not obvious; RASS 0 or less).
- A legal representative can sign the consent form for you.
