Studying brain sensing in advanced Parkinson’s during deep brain stimulation

Who can take part

  • Be older than 18 years
  • If you have Parkinson’s: have advanced, typical (idiopathic) Parkinson’s—not another similar condition
  • Have an (essentially) normal pre-surgery brain MRI
  • Plan to have deep brain stimulation (DBS) with the subthalamic nucleus (STN) as the target
  • Be able to attend follow-up visits during the whole study
