Who can take part
- Be older than 18 years
- If you have Parkinson’s: have advanced, typical (idiopathic) Parkinson’s—not another similar condition
- Have an (essentially) normal pre-surgery brain MRI
- Plan to have deep brain stimulation (DBS) with the subthalamic nucleus (STN) as the target
- Be able to attend follow-up visits during the whole study
