Who can take part

  • You have confirmed cancer (proven by biopsy) that has spread to a limited area of your spine and can be treated with surgery
  • Your spine metastases cover no more than two consecutive spine levels that need surgery (other spots may be okay if they don’t need surgery)
  • You can get a contrast MRI with gadolinium within 8 weeks before joining, and a contrast CT if needed
  • You are age 20 or older, and you have at least 6 months of expected life
  • You have not had any prior radiation to the spine level(s) being treated in this study
  • You can follow study visits and instructions, and you can sign consent; pregnancy is not allowed
