Who can take part

  • Your cancer has spread to the spine in limited areas between C1 and L5
  • You can get around on your own or with minimal help (performance status 0–2)
  • Your pain is at least moderate (pain score 5 or higher when not using pain medicine)
  • If cancer extends toward the spinal canal, there is at least a 2 mm safety gap from the spinal cord
  • Your spine is stable enough—no major collapse (more than 50% height loss) or unstable fracture
