Who can take part

  • You must be 18 to under 75 years old and able to sign consent before any study tests
  • You need recent lab proof of Chagas infection from at least two different blood tests in the last 2 years
  • You must have heart failure symptoms that are NYHA class II or III (not class IV) and a weak heart pumping level (LVEF under 35%)
  • Your heart’s electrical/strain measurements must meet the study needs (not left bundle branch block, plus required desynchrony and strain results)
  • You should not join another study right now (or have joined one that ended within the last year) unless it’s unrelated observation
  • You must not have certain major health problems (for example: significant kidney/liver disease, moderate/severe lung disease, uncontrolled diabetes with complications, or severe nerve disease)
