Combination therapy to improve spinal cord injury recovery

This trial studies a combination of treatments to help people with certain types of spinal cord injury regain some movement and feeling over time. If you meet the specific injury and health criteria, you may be asked to do simple walking and assessment tests during treatment.

Who can take part

  • Be between ages 18 and 70
  • Have a spinal cord injury that is non-worsening (not a progressive disease) and is chronic (more than 12 months ago)
  • Your injury level must be at or below C2 and at or above L2, with some preserved movement or sensation below the injury
  • You must be able to walk 10 meters (about 33 feet) without another person helping you
  • You must be medically stable and cleared by the study doctor
  • Not have major exclusions like severe uncontrolled infections, severe pressure sores, or serious heart/lung problems, and have adequate basic thinking ability (Mini-Mental score 24+)
