Who can take part
- You are 35 to 64 years old
- Your blood pressure is about 130–139 on top and 80–89 on the bottom
- You are not taking blood-pressure medicines during the screening period
- You have not used blood-pressure medicine in the past month
- You have no major prior stroke, heart attack, unstable angina, or heart procedure like stent/bypass
- You do not have serious liver or kidney problems, or significant heart rhythm/valve/heart-muscle conditions
