Who can take part

  • You’re 18 years or older and have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder (MDD, often called major depression).
  • You have tried at least two antidepressant medications during this current episode and they did not work well enough.
  • You can read and understand English well and have access to a smartphone for texting.
  • You are willing to sign a consent form in writing to join the study.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have certain brain/neurological conditions (like seizure history or stroke) or current psychosis.
