Brain scan study of deep brain stimulation in OCD

Who can take part

  • You have OCD with a Yale-Brown OCD score of 25 or higher
  • You tried at least two OCD medicines in the “serotonin reuptake inhibitor” class and they didn’t work after 10+ weeks each (at standard or highest tolerated dose)
  • You also tried at least one tricyclic OCD medicine for 10+ weeks each (at standard or highest tolerated dose)
  • You tried an add-on treatment such as an antipsychotic medicine, lithium, a benzodiazepine, or buspirone
  • You had at least 20 sessions of OCD-focused therapy like cognitive behavioral therapy
  • You can sign a consent form in writing
