Who can take part

  • Your child has steroid-sensitive nephrotic syndrome that goes into remission with steroids (often called FRNS)
  • Your child is between ages 3 and 17
  • Kidneys are functioning enough: eGFR is at least 30
  • Diagnosis is minimal change disease (MCD) or focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)
  • At enrollment, your child is currently in remission (protein in urine is very low/negative for several days)
  • Parent/guardian can consent, and your child can assent if age 7 or older
