Who can take part
- You’re 18 years or older
- Your CT scan with dye shows a lung blood clot in a main or large branch artery
- Your CT scan also shows right-heart strain (right-heart size is bigger than the left)
- Your symptoms started within the last 14 days for this episode
- Your blood pressure is stable (not in severe shock; no strong BP medicines needed right now)
- You can safely receive clot-busting medicine (rt-PA) and contrast dye, or your allergy can be managed
