Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 60 years old
  • Be able to read and understand English for safety reasons
  • For smokers/vapers: use nicotine at least 4 times per week for the past year and have a positive urine cotinine test
  • No current drug or alcohol problems (except nicotine or marijuana)
  • No history of major head injury, seizures, or brain disorders
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • No severe liver or heart issues
  • No narcolepsy or sleep behavior problems
  • No MRI contraindications (e.g., metal implants)
