Who can take part

  • You are between 30 and 75 years old
  • You have high blood pressure (either not taking BP medicine with high readings, or a known history of high BP—even if your current readings are controlled)
  • Your heart pumping strength is normal on an ultrasound (left ventricular ejection fraction of at least 50%)
  • You can sign an informed consent form and agree to join the study
  • You should not have certain other causes of high blood pressure (like kidney or hormone-related causes)
