Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older and able to give consent (or have a legal representative consent)
  • Have active AML that is CD33-positive, confirmed from a recent bone marrow or blood test (within 90 days)
  • Be well enough for treatment: Karnofsky score 70 or higher and life expectancy of at least 16 weeks
  • Have acceptable organ/health tests (bilirubin, liver enzymes, kidney function, and heart strength) and oxygen levels above 92% without extra oxygen
  • Agree to use leftover stored tissue from diagnostic biopsies (or get an exception if not available)
  • Have a suitable donor or stem-cell source for allogeneic transplant, including an HIV-negative donor with KPS 70+
