Who can take part
- You have endodontic-periodontal disease with no root damage, in gum disease stages I, II, or III (per the Herrera 2017 system)
- You must have at least one deep bone defect: a gum pocket depth of 5 mm or more and a 3 mm or more bone defect on an X-ray near an affected tooth
- You are age 18 to 80
- You do not smoke at all (no cigarettes in the past 5 years, and no vaping/e-cigarettes)
- The affected tooth must be treatable (no severely calcified canals, resorption, perforations, fractures/cracks, or other “not fixable” situations)
