SP-420 for iron overload in certain blood disorders

Who can take part

  • You’re 18 or older
  • You have transfusion-dependent beta-thalassemia or low-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)
  • You have iron overload from transfusions (your iron levels are high enough for the study)
  • You’ve been on stable iron-chelation treatment for at least 4 weeks (for thalassemia) or have been followed at an MDS-experienced clinic for at least 6 months
  • Your weight is at least 35 kg
  • You can complete required study checks, including MRI if needed
