7-tesla brain MRI to study how filgotinib eases RA pain

Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 74 years old.
  • You have moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis and have been prescribed filgotinib.
  • You are right-handed (the study uses this to keep the brain scans consistent).
  • You can give written informed consent.
  • You can safely complete an MRI scan (no MRI safety contraindications) and you can tolerate the scanner (not severely claustrophobic).
  • You have not had major past nerve/brain conditions like multiple sclerosis, stroke, or traumatic brain injury, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
