Who can take part
- You have Parkinson’s disease with at least 2 of these main symptoms: tremor, stiffness (rigidity), slowness (bradykinesia), or symptoms that started on one side (asymmetric onset).
- Your Parkinson’s symptoms must include tremor or bradykinesia.
- You do not have warning signs that suggest a different type of Parkinson’s or another condition (like early balance problems, early freezing, hallucinations, or certain eye movement problems).
- Your symptoms must be linked to Parkinson’s: you either respond to levodopa (L-dopa) or dopamine agonist medicines, or you have tried them appropriately (or there is a clear reason they weren’t tried).
- If you have idiopathic REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD), it must match the standard international sleep-diagnosis criteria (ICSD-3).
- You do not have certain mental health or brain conditions, and you are not diagnosed with dementia.
