Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for bimaxillary osteotomy under general anesthesia with a breathing tube
  • Your overall health risk is low to mild (ASA class I or II)
  • You can sign an informed consent form
  • You should not have certain heart, circulation, anemia, or fluid-balance problems
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be under 30
  • You must not be pregnant, in another study, or taking blood-thinning/heart-pressure medicines
