Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • Your brain bleed is a certain size (about 2 to 8 tablespoons) and located in the front part of the brain
  • The procedure can be started within 24 hours of when your symptoms began
  • You are awake enough to respond, but not fully alert (Glasgow Coma Scale 5-14)
  • You had little or no disability before this stroke (could do all your usual activities)
