Who can take part

  • You are generally healthy and have no other illnesses that affect gum health
  • You do not smoke (and you are not using tobacco products)
  • You have untreated gum disease that is at stage 3 and grade B or C
  • Your mouth has 20 or more teeth
  • Your gum plaque level is not higher than a score of 20
  • You have not had gum treatment in the past year and you have not taken antibiotics in the past 12 months
