Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • Patients must be male and have a confirmed ALD gene change (ABCD1 pathogenic variant)
  • You (or the study team) must be able to do an MRI (no safety issues and you can lie still in the scanner)
  • You must not have other major brain problems like brain tumor, stroke, or a significant head injury
  • You cannot be in another interventional clinical trial at the same time
