Who can take part

  • You have a suspected or confirmed leukodystrophy or similar white-matter brain disorder (based on brain scans or a genetic result)
  • Or you are a healthy person with no suspected or confirmed white-matter brain disorder
  • You (or your parent/legal guardian) can give consent, and you may need to agree if you’re old enough
  • You are willing to share medical information and do standard study checkups and/or provide samples (like blood or other samples, if requested)
  • Your diagnosis (if you’re being evaluated) should not be from an acquired cause like infection or multiple sclerosis—except certain long-term effects from infections present from birth
  • You are able to provide consent
