Who can take part

  • You have multiple myeloma and are currently doing induction treatment and getting ready to collect stem cells for your own transplant
  • You can follow the study’s birth control (contraception) rules during the trial
  • Your performance status is ECOG 2 or better (you can generally do daily activities with limited assistance)
  • Your blood tests and liver/kidney markers are high enough (bilirubin, ALT, AST within limits; kidney function okay), and your neutrophils and platelets meet minimum levels
  • You collected at least 2 million CD34+ stem cells per kilogram (part of stem cell mobilization for transplant)
  • You are expected to live more than 3 months and can provide informed consent (you or a close family member)
