Lifestyle change for brain health in Down syndrome

This study looks at how a healthy lifestyle program can improve brain health in adults with Down syndrome who are overweight or obese. You will attend a medical center three times over a year for tests, and you'll need a caregiver to support you.

  • You have Down syndrome.
  • Your BMI is between 25 and 50 (overweight or obese).
  • You can speak and communicate using spoken language.
  • You can come to the University of Kansas Medical Center for three visits over one year.
  • You live at home with a family member or in a supported living environment with a caregiver who will help with food and transportation.
