Who can take part

  • You have epilepsy that doesn't get better with medication, or you have a brain tumor or certain blood vessel problems in the brain.
  • You are going to have or have had a procedure where doctors put small electrodes on your brain to find seizures or map important areas for speech, movement, or vision.
  • You can speak and understand English well enough for testing.
  • You do not have a large brain abnormality that could have moved your important brain areas.
  • You do not have serious problems with thinking or memory that would make testing difficult.
  • You do not have a pacemaker, metal clips in your brain, or severe claustrophobia that would prevent you from having an MRI.
