- You are currently in the hospital for heart failure, or have been discharged within the last 30 days.
- You have had symptoms and signs of heart failure during this hospital stay.
- An imaging test shows your heart's pumping strength is 40% or higher (mildly reduced or preserved).
- You have elevated levels of a heart stress marker in your blood (NTproBNP or BNP).
- You are not currently taking or planning to take a specific type of heart pill called a mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA).
- Your kidney function is above a certain level and your potassium level is not too high.
