This study is looking at whether people with multiple sclerosis (MS) in Egypt have higher rates of insulin resistance (a condition where the body doesn't respond well to insulin). The goal is to understand if insulin resistance is linked to MS and its different types. You would need to come to the MS clinic for a blood test and some other simple measurements.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 50 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) using the 2017 McDonald criteria.
  • You have not had an MS relapse or taken steroid medications in the past 3 months.
  • You do not have other major health conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart, liver, or kidney disease.
  • You are not on a special diet or taking medications that affect your metabolism (such as anti-inflammatories, cholesterol drugs, or hormone therapy).
