How muscle cells respond to blood sugar in different body types

Who can take part

  • Be between 30 and 65 years old
  • Maintain stable weight (no gain or loss of more than 10 pounds in the last 6 months)
  • Exercise very little (1 or fewer continuous exercise sessions per week)
  • Never smoke or have quit smoking
  • Have healthy blood pressure (systolic ≤150 mmHg and diastolic ≤95 mmHg)
  • Not have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, or liver disease
