Who can take part
- Your lung cancer must be stage IV (spread to other parts of the body) or has come back after treatment, and you must have a MET exon 14 skipping mutation found by a special gene test on a tumor or blood sample.
- You must have at least one tumor that can be measured on a CT scan or MRI, and you need a brain scan (CT or MRI) to check for any cancer there.
- You cannot have other known genetic changes in your cancer that have approved targeted treatments, like EGFR, ALK, or ROS1.
- You must have recovered from side effects of any previous cancer treatment (except hair loss or skin color changes), and not have had chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or an experimental drug within the last 21 days, or radiation within the last 7 days.
- You cannot have taken any prior MET inhibitor drugs (like crizotinib or tepotinib) or angiogenesis inhibitors (like bevacizumab).
- You must be well enough to be up and about (Zubrod score 0-1) and have adequate organ function, including certain blood counts and kidney and liver tests.
