Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have severe leg pain when walking less than 200 meters (about 2 football fields) or have non-healing wounds or tissue loss on your leg or foot.
- You have a good artery bringing blood into the leg and a good artery to attach the bypass to.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and do not have an active infection, acute ischemia (sudden leg threat), or vasculitis.
- You do not have an allergy to the metal used in the new stent (cobalt-chromium alloy), and the vein used for bypass is between 3.5 mm and 8 mm in diameter and not spliced.
