Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older and have signed a consent form.
  • You must have hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) or ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP).
  • A lab test has to show your lung infection is caused by Acinetobacter bacteria.
  • Your severity score (APACHE II) must be between 10 and 24.
  • If you are a woman who can get pregnant, you need a negative pregnancy test before starting.
