Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have active TB in your lungs (confirmed by symptoms, chest X-ray, or sputum test)
  • Your sputum test (Xpert Ultra) shows a 'medium' or 'high' amount of TB bacteria and no resistance to rifampicin
  • Your weight is between 30 and 100 kg (about 66 to 220 pounds) and your BMI is between 15 and 40
  • You are willing to attend all study visits, take your medication as directed, and live at an address the study team can visit
  • You have not taken more than 1 dose of TB medication in the last 14 days, and you do not have certain health problems (like heart issues, seizures, or active cancer)
