Who can take part
- You have severe asthma and use high-dose inhaled steroids plus another controller medication, or you take prednisolone at least half the time
- You have had at least 2 asthma attacks in the past year, or you have an ACQ score above 1.5, or you meet national criteria for a specific biologic
- Or you have mild-to-moderate asthma and use low-to-medium dose inhaled steroids, with an ACQ score below 1.5 and no recent attacks
- You are willing to have blood tests and lung function tests
- You are not currently in another drug study or have had an investigational drug in the last 3 months
- If you are a healthy volunteer, you have no history of asthma, allergies, or respiratory infections in the past 4 weeks
