Locally Advanced Hypopharyngeal Carcinoma

  • You have a type of throat cancer called hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your cancer is locally advanced, meaning it has not spread far, but it requires surgery to remove your voice box (total laryngectomy).
  • You have not had any previous treatment for this cancer.
  • You are in good general health, able to do most daily activities, and your organs are working well.
